Effective: October 24, 2026. OW Reviews - Operated out of Missouri, United States. Contact: owreviews@protonmail.com

owreviews helps players record and share manual Overwatch match reviews. The beta is intended to be available worldwide and is free and non-commercial. Account creation is not intended for children under 13. There is no adults-only restriction.

Information used

Our sign-in provider, Clerk, processes your email address and verification codes. owreviews keeps an association with your provider identity to separate accounts and protect access to reviews. We do not collect application passwords. Optional profile information includes your display name, public username, BattleTag, preferred role and self-reported ranks.

We store the match details, rosters, descriptions, assessments, moments, take-aways, drafts and sharing choices you enter. A guest reviewer supplies a display name and optional rank; these are self-reported, not verified credentials. Invitation and reviewer-session records control access and completion. Avoid putting other people's private information into descriptions, roster names or reviews.

We use this information to save reviews, display your history, calculate patterns from recorded assessments, provide sharing and prevent unauthorized access. The app's request logs record operational information such as method, status, duration and request ID rather than review bodies, email addresses or access tokens. Hosting and identity providers may separately process network and security information needed to run their services.

Private, invited and public access

Profiles and match reviews start private. Profile visibility and individual match visibility are separate choices. Publishing a profile does not publish every match. Publishing a match makes an allowed subset of its information available to anyone with its public URL, including its description, roster, take-away, timestamps and structured assessments. Replay codes and YouTube URLs require their own publication choices. Private drafts and invited reviewers' separate contributions are not automatically included in the public view.

An invitation lets one reviewer claim a review and resume it through a scoped session while the invitation remains valid. A link recipient may forward an unclaimed link, so share it only with the intended reviewer. The owner can revoke it. Names and ranks do not establish a reviewer's real identity. Reviewers should assume their submitted review is visible to the requesting owner.

You can separately opt in to publishing an insights dashboard on your public profile. It calculates trends only from your published self reviews and their public answers. Private matches, moment descriptions, temperament, drafts and invited feedback are excluded. Turning off dashboard publishing or making the profile private prevents subsequent dashboard access through the app.

Explicitly public profiles, opted-in dashboards and match reviews may be discovered by search engines on our production site. Private content and staging pages are excluded. Search engines may retain previously indexed information after unpublishing; removal from their results may take time.

Unpublishing prevents subsequent public access through the app; it cannot retrieve screenshots or copies someone already made. Review the content before publishing or sending an invitation.

Providers, browser storage and video

The service uses Fly.io for hosting, Turso for stored application data, Clerk for sign-in and Better Stack for operational monitoring. GitHub builds and delivers the application; our delivery workflow does not upload review databases as build artifacts. These providers operate under their own policies.

The browser uses sign-in/session storage, preferences and local recovery state for unfinished edits. A shared browser can retain local state; sign out when finished. The application does not currently include an advertising or audience-analytics tracker, and Clerk client telemetry is disabled in our integration.

Playing a linked video loads a YouTube privacy-enhanced embed only after selecting Load YouTube video in the playback window. YouTube can receive connection and playback information when you play it. owreviews stores the URL rather than hosting the video. Links to services such as owreplays.tv open external services with their own policies.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use sign-in and security cookies supplied by Clerk to maintain and protect sessions. These support signing in and accessing private reviews; blocking them may prevent sign-in. Their expiry and rotation depend on the sign-in provider and browser settings.

We also use local and session storage for unfinished edits, invited-review recovery, choices you make (such as the trend range), dismissed notices and communication between tabs when an account is deleted. Session storage normally ends when its browser tab/session ends. Persistent local storage can remain until the app removes the relevant entry or you clear site data; recovery archives may persist. Notice preferences are browser-local and do not sync across devices. Do not use a shared browser for sensitive review content without clearing local site data afterward.

OW Reviews does not currently load advertising or audience-analytics trackers. The cookie-information banner is an explanation, not an “accept all” control or agreement to these policies. Its Got it action remembers that you have read the notice in this browser. You can reopen it through Cookie information in the footer.

YouTube is optional. Opening a moment's video window does not load YouTube. Selecting Load YouTube video requests that embed for that playback only; it can send your IP address and playback information to YouTube and allow its cookies or similar storage. You can decline by closing the window, without affecting your review. Closing stops the embed, and each new playback asks again; previously stored third-party data may remain under the provider's policy. External links also take you to services with their own policies.

You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so can sign you out, remove unfinished recovery copies and reset notice/preferences. Clearing a browser does not delete reviews already saved in your account. If optional tracking is introduced, it must be disabled until the appropriate consent controls and disclosures are in place.

Retention and deletion

We do not delete accounts or reviews solely because of inactivity. Reviews are retained until deleted, subject to the match limit: each player can retain up to 100 matches, and saving beyond that limit rolls off the oldest. Each independent review supports up to 25 saved moments. Deleted or rolled-off matches are removed from active application storage along with dependent review records. Provider recovery copies can retain earlier data for their recovery window; the currently selected Turso Free recovery window is 24 hours, not a long-term archive.

Delete my account removes your owned matches, associated reviews/drafts/invitations, profile and account-bound contributions to others' reviews, and deletes your Clerk sign-in account. Application data is removed and access blocked first. If Clerk is temporarily unavailable, sign-in account deletion remains queued and retries automatically. Accounts deleted directly in Clerk are periodically reconciled; public content cleanup may wait for that check.

A minimal pseudonymous deletion marker remains to prevent stale sessions or saves from recreating a deleted account. Pending deletion requests retain the provider identifier until completion, then clear it. This marker contains no email, display name or review content. Your former public username remains reserved so another account cannot take over its old public links. Browser cleanup covers the requesting browser and reachable same-origin tabs, not remote devices or copies others made. Contact owreviews@protonmail.com for deletion questions.
